Rose Hill UMC understands the importance of religious education and fellowship for children. We offer fun and age-appropriate opportunities for children of all ages.
Preschool-Kinder Sunday School Class:
This class is designed for children who are at least three years old. Children usually continue in this Sunday school class through the summer after he/she completes Kindergarten. The teachers for this class for the 2010-2011 school year are Jennifer Nielsen and Lisa Dunham. Please let them know if you have any questions specific to this class.
FAQ 1: How do I know my child is ready for this class? Answer: If your child can do all the following things, he/she is ready for this class:
1. Can follow directions
2. Can sit and listen to a story
3. Can (or attempts to) color
4. Can use the bathroom independently
FAQ 2: Will my child get a snack in Sunday school? Answer: Children should eat breakfast prior to class. A small snack, such as fruit snacks, goldfish or crackers is provided as part of the regular class schedule.
FAQ 3: What does my child need to bring to class? Answer: Please send a drink, preferably in a spill-proof container (i.e., a thermos or sports bottle). This will be very helpful during snack time too J
1-2 Elementary Sunday School Class:
This class is designed for children who are in the 1st and 2nd grades. Children usually continue in this Sunday school class through the summer after he/she completes 2nd grade. The teachers for this class for the 2010-2011 school year are Eloise Boney and Frances Loveless. Please let them know if you have any questions specific to this class.
3-5 Elementary Sunday School Class:
This class is designed for children who are in at least the 3rd grade. Children usually continue in this Sunday school class through the summer after he/she completes 5th grade. The teacher for this class for the 2010-2011 school year is Cathy Grigory. Please let her know if you have any questions specific to this class.
