What Type of Service Is It?

Rose Hill UMC offers a blended service. This means elements of a more traditional church service are combined with elements of a more contemporary service. This blended service provides elements to meet the needs of our unique congregation.

Which Service Should I Attend?

Most people attend the 10:30 service in the Faith Center. This service includes a Children's Message, then Children's Church, for kids in 2nd grade or younger.

We have a strong attendance at the 8:30 service as well. Many of our members and visitors prefer the more intimate sanctuary as well as the historic atmoshpere. Children are always welcome to attend this service, but no Children's Message or Children's Church are provided.

If you are unable to attend regular Sunday services, Rose Hill UMC provides a Wednesday evening communion service on the first Wednesday of the month. This service is held in the Historic Sanctuary.

What Should I Wear?

Come as you are! Our preference is that you come to church rather than stay home worrying about what clothes to wear. You will see men in suits as well as jeans and t-shirts. Women come to services dressed in Sunday best and in casual attire.

Is There a Nursery?

Yes! A nursery is available for babies and toddlers for both Sunday services. Our nursery workers are trained in infant CPR and first aid. They have passed background checks and are trained in Safe Sanctuary practices. The nursery is conveniently located next to the sanctuary in the Faith Center.

Do I Have to Put My Baby in the Nursery?

No, we have many parents who choose to have their babies and toddlers sit in service. The sanctuary in the Faith Center has a cry room if you are more comfortable in this quiet space.

Can I Take Communion?

Absolutely. The United Methodist Church practices Open Communion. You are are welcome at the altar, if you, in good conscience, choose to receive the Sacrament.
