EARTH, WIND, and FIRE: FIRE
Welcome to worship. We’re so glad you’re here as wwrap up our current sermon series on the Holy Spirit,
Earth, Wind, and Fire. This morning we are going to explore fire, what is is, why it’s biblically significant, and how it relates to the power and presence of God. My prayer for us is that we will really feel the heat of the Spirit today as we move nearer to the heart of God. I pray our hearts will catch on fire for loving God and loving others. And I pray we will continue to be a people who “catch on fire with enthusiasm so people will come from miles to watch us burn!”

    Earth, Wind, and Fire: WIND
Good morning and welcome to worship! This morning we continue our current sermon series on the Holy
Spirit called Earth, Wind, and Fire. Last week wcontemplated the profound mystery of the Trinity, reaffirming our belief that there is One God who exists in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We also considered the ways the Holy Spirit moves throughout the earth and celebrated the amazing reality that the Holy Spirit dwells in us, making us earthly temples of God. Today, we will explore the Biblical, symbolic, and spiritual significance of the Holy Spirit as the Wind, the breath, the breeze of God. My prayer for us is that the Holy Spirit, as Wind, will carry us away in the love and power of God.

    EARTH, WIND, and FIRE
This morning worship might look and sound a little different because it is Pentecost. We’ve added a few musical elements to worship that have a revival feel to them. This morning, you might feel like tapping your foot. You might be taken back to the days of your youth. You may be moved to sing, “give me that old time religion.” Today, we also begin our new sermon series, Earth, Wind, and Fire, which is a series on the Holy Spirit. This is especially fitting since today we do celebrate the day the Holy Spirit was poured out upon Jesus’ disciples ten days after he ascended into heaven. Immediately after Pentecost, the Holy Spirit moved the disciples to boldly proclaim the good newthat there is forgiveness of sins and eternal life in Christ. This movement of the Spirit created momentum, which resulted in thousands of people coming to faith in JesuChrist. Today, let’s continue to live in, learn from, and listen to the Holy Spirit so that we too can have a global impact.
